Jessica Talbott

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska where I attended St. Bernadette Catholic School. I started playing volleyball in third grade and ended my career my senior year of high school at Bellevue West.

I started playing club volleyball when I was 12 at River City Juniors Volleyball Club here in Omaha. When I played for the 121’s and 131’s team, my team and I made it to nationals both years. I made the 142’s team the next year then switched to Bellevue Volleyball Club where I made the 151’s team.

At Bellevue West, I played all four years. I was captain of the JV team my sophomore and junior year and played varsity my senior year. During club I played primarily outside hitter, while during school season I was a defensive specialist.

As well as volleyball, I also competed in track all throughout high school. Starting my freshman year I began pole vaulting and still do today (just for fun). I qualified for the state track meet and also earned a spot on the University of Nebraska at Kearney track and field team. However, I turned this down due to the fact that they did not have my major at the time.

I currently attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha where I am completing my prerequisite courses for nursing school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where I have received an automatic honors admission. I will attend UNMC in the fall of 2016. I also work at Nebraska Medicine Bellevue as a patient care tech in the ICU.

This will be my first year as an official volleyball coach. I have helped with numerous camps and clinics for school as well as club. I find myself a laid back coach and easy to get along with. I enjoy helping the girls learn and grow throughout their volleyball careers
